When I haven't been here in a while, all the news piles up and I'm not sure where to start. So I'm just going to dive right in:
1. That's my Christmas table runner up there for a swap with the Modern Irish Quilt Guild ladies. It's fun, but definitely more work than I was expecting. I've been sewing furiously and I think I'll just get it done in time. I find the pressure of a deadline hard, but I'm also noticing how it gets me to the machine at every available opportunity. I'm loving that part.
2. My poor hexs are sitting forlornly waiting for their binding. After the runner goes in the post, I'm going to channel the new creative drive towards finishing it.
3. I made a couple of Christmas cards on Friday, and found it supremely relaxing.
4. I'm thinking a lot about altars and how I might introduce them into my life. Taking inspiration from Liz Lamoreux and various Pinterestsources, I'm being drawn to small pretty things and becoming a bit more of a magpie.
5. I'm dreaming of a simple knitting project - a chunky scarf I think that requires no fuss. I just need a pocket of time to set it up, and I'll be away.
Craft abounds here, but that's the way life seems to be at the moment - full to bursting with fabric and notions.
Also, I pre-registered for Squam.
